TED Alanya College is a full-day, coeducational, K-12 school. By combining a rigorous and challenging academic curriculum with a wide-range of extracurricular activities, TED Alanya instills in its students the knowledge, skills, and confidence that will allow them to attain their full potential and achieve success in high school and beyond. With its unique combination of state-of-the-art facilities and safe and supportive learning environment, TED Alanya serves as a model educational institution, providing the perfect educational environment for children of all cultural and educational backgrounds in order to prepare them for success in their lives. At TED Alanya, we provide a world-class education within classrooms and laboratories that are fully-integrated with the latest technology. In addition to our fully-equipped academic facilities, our beautiful campus also features an indoor swimming pool, a culture hall which holds 300 people, a big gym for different kinds of sports, a mini golf course, an outdoor chess area , a big library, dining hall and outdoor sports facilities capable of accommodating a wide-variety of athletic events. There are 6 blocks (A,B,C,D,E,F).The playground and all the corridors are continuously monitored by security cameras.
Guidance and Counselling Department
The main goal of the Guidance and Counselling Department is to improve students’ capabilities to participate at the highest levels of education. The counsellors of TED Alanya are in charge of this support department to help our students develop their talents and abilities which are related to their areas of interest. They try to understand the problems surrounding the students and resolve them with appropriate techniques.
This department monitors the emotional, psychological and social development of the students and tries to keep it well balanced with special emphasis on creating a relaxing environment that is trusted . These services are available for students, parents and teachers. This department seeks to support the students in resolving their individual problems, guiding them on the right path. They sometimes give them various seminars to improve their academic success, communication skills in society, self confidence and their decision making process.
ASSESSMENT and EVALUATION DEPARTMENT
At TED Alanya College, ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION activities are done by the participation of all the teachers and coordinated by the Assessment and Evaluation Department according to the students’ levels.
The Ministry of National Education programs, which overlap with our institution’s own philosophy, help us follow the development of our students from a standardized perspective. In our school assessment and evaluation activities are carried out with the usage of exams, alternative assessment instruments and techniques (rubrics, various forms, anecdote sheets, questionnaires, etc.) by the coordination of Assessment and Evaluation Department.
A portfolio presentation day is organized at the end of the year. Our students are going to present and share their work with their parents reflecting their development throughout the year. Thus, the parents will have the chance to see their children’s works which show how much they have achieved during the year.
In order to make our high school students conscious of SBS, YGS, LYS and to help them prepare, practice and achievement tests will be done regularly;
In order to select the new candidates to become TED Alanya College students, the scholarship exam will be held and appropriate assessment and evaluation will be carried out at the end of the year.
As TED Alanya College our aim is to help our children-we believe in their future- by increasing our students’ academic success and the quality of learning; by carrying out reliable, objective assessment techniques. We try to evaluate them in all aspects (cognitive, emotional and psycho-motor).
We also inform the principals and the teachers about the results, analyse the results of all the exams and organise extra classes for students at the weekend.
We are trying to develop a test bank that contains reliable and objective questions, prepared by the branch teachers.
Healthcare Service
We have a medical centre which cares about our students' and staff's health. It aims to improve the health of each individual, protect them from possible harm, react in any emergencies and help establish a healthy environment for both our students and employees. Our nurse tries hard to treat their health problems as best she can.
Catering Service
In our Dining Hall the students, teachers and all employees are served specially selected meals. The choices are based upon daily calorie intact, a mixture of protein and carbohydrates, enjoyable and tasteful food and meals that are prepared to the highest hygienic standards.
In our kindergarten there is also a kitchen and a Dining Hall serving our kids.
